Power Verse # 11 - Proverbs 4:18

"The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn shining ever brighter till the full light of day."

This is a promise of an irrevocable road for the righteous. No matter what seeming darkness may seem to surround us, we are assured that our path will become brighter and brighter like the full blown shine of the bright sunny day. As we cooperate with the Holy Spirit by walking in the will of the Lord, we are assured that we will be transformed from glory to glory until we reach the whole measure of the fullness of Jesus Christ. So we persevere in overcoming all trials that come our way and feel rest assured that they are not stumbling blocks that hinder our way but stepping stones to further strengthen us for the looming battles ahead of us until God's final glory is fully revealed on earth.

Power Verse # 10 - Psalm 23:4

"Even though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil
for You are with me; Your rod and staff,
they comfort me."

Psalm 23: 4

This is a verse of supreme trust in God and vanishes all fear in our hearts. Even if we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil for the Lord walks with us, to guide and protect us against all adversities and trials in life. He uses His rod- the symbol of correction, to discipline us and mend our crooked ways. His staff symbolizes His unwavering support for us when we become weary in our walk through the many pitfalls in life. He is our strength as we lean on His staff to carry us
through when our own strength is waning. He is the good shepherd who laid down His life to save His flock.

Power Verse # 9 - Psalm 37:4

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)

This is another powerful verse from God whose promise is to give us the desires of our hearts if we will delight in the Lord. Delight in the Lord means we are happy and content in obeying His will for our lives. Delight in the Lord means our happiness is contingent with a right and faithful relationship with the Lord and that our joy comes from obeying all that the Lord wants in our lives. It is just like a piece of machinery directly attached to its main power source so that it functions very smoothly and efficiently. If we are connected directly to the Lord through obedience to His will, we will always be happy and the Lord's joy and peace will always be present in our hearts. We can have anything that our hearts desire so long as what we desire is in the will of the father.

Power Verse # 8 - Lamentations 3:22-23

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
(Lamentations 3: 22-23)

Are you in some kind of an overwhelming trial that you feel there is no more light at the end of the tunnel? Are you ready to give up because of the mountains of problems weighing you down? Do you feel that your are already at the edge of a cliff in danger of falling down in a deep precipice? Wait for the Lord for your delivery is at hand. Maybe He is just testing your faith or is calling your attention to some hidden offense buried deep down your conscience. Lamentations 3: 22-23 givs us hope when events in our lives become hopeless. It speaks of God's great love for us so that we are not consumed as we so deserve. His compassions never fail. They are as new every morning as the dew that nourishes all plants. For so great is His faithfulness for all His creation. We hold on to this promise for dear life and we turn to God for our deliverance. He will save us in times of troubles if we will just learn to call upon the name of the Lord.

Power Verse # 7 - Romans 8: 38- 39

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depths, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
(Romans 8: 38- 39)

This is a promise of limitless potentials. It is a promise that holds the whole universe at the core of the intent of the promise. So long as we do not willfully separate ourselves from God, no force in the entire universe can ever separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Even if we are pressed down by mountainous trials and sufferings, this promise is there to ensure that, at the end of the tunnel, our sure deliverance is on hand, for He who gave the promise is constantly with us, giving us sufficient grace to withstand and endure the trials. Not even the creatures of the spiritual realms, nor even death itself, can ever separate us from the love and protection of the Lord. This promise is further strengthened by another powerful promise by God to those who are faithful and true to Him. That is, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Heaven and earth and the whole of God's creation may pass away but this promise of God to all His faithful children shall never cease to exist for all eternity.

Power Verse # 6 - Isaiah 40:31

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

(Isaiah 40: 31)

This is a mighty verse to hold on to. The promise of the Lord is strength for those whose trust is in Him. We must not rely on our own puny strength for they are limited but must rely on the strength of the Lord to carry us on eagle's wings as we soar above the the storms of our lives. We can run and not grow weary and we can walk and never tire. This is the promise of the Lord for the renewal of our strength anchored on His own supernatural strength. Are you deprived of strength by any energy sapping disease? Then claim and hold on to this promise and see the Lord heal your disease and restore your natural and inner strength. He gives us the power to mount on wings like the eagles and to soar above the storms of problems and trials in our lives.

Power Verse # 5 - Proverbs 3: 5-6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths."

(Proverbs 3: 5-6)

This is something that is totally opposed to the teaching of the world for man's self reliance. In this verse, man is taught not to rely on one's own faculties and intelligence but to trust God for all of one's needs. This does not mean that man should just lie down and expect blessings to fall down from the skies. This means that we should hold on to God's promises and believe in His faithfulness to fulfill all of His promises. There are such things as spiritual realities or realities in the heavenly realms. And there are physical realities or those that are happening in this world which our five senses can comprehend. This verse means we have to believe in the spiritual realities of God's words even though the physical realities do not match them. Let me give you examples to elucidate this point. Even though there is no food at the dinner table, we should say our prayers before meal and thank God for His bountiful provisions, believing that that He who multiplied five loaves of bread and two small fishes to feed five thousand men excluding women and children can do the same for us. It means thanking Him for good health and healing even though we feel physical pain in our bodies and the doctor says that we are sick. Miracles are offshoots of a living faith in God. So let us practice trusting God alone erasing in our minds all negative thoughts.
